Program Summary

The S-5 Category B program prepares candidates with the theoretical and practical competencies necessary to carry out the planning and implementation of hydrographic surveys effectively. The IIC Academy is committed to providing a quality learning environment through a modular program that follows the IHO IBSC S-5 Category B Standards of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors. The program is recognized by the FIG/IHO/ICA International Board on Standards of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors and is designed to maximize the advantages of online delivery.

The programme is designed to deliver all theory and exercises online, focused on developing a student’s theoretical and practical knowledge on hydrographic surveying. The programme completes with the practicals and Final Field Project on site, at a designated location.
