Advanced GIS (40 hours)

These programs are tailored to meet the needs of professional GIS users and analysts. GIS application software would generally be the one selected by the users, in most cases, ESRI based ArcGIS suite. Case studies and project work would be selected from user's work domain: forestry, urban planning, transportation, agriculture, telecom, waste management, water and sewage network, etc.

Describe and apply features of selected GIS software
Illustrate use of software tools to different GIS tasks
Create workflows
Model GIS data for specific domain applications
Perform GIS based analysis and reporting

Prerequisites:

College level Mathematics
School-level competency in English
Proficiency with Computers, office suites and database
Knowledge of fundamental concepts of GIS equivalent to the program 101-GS
