Foundations of Photogrammetry (60 hours)

This program equips entry-level GIS professionals with fundamental concepts, and applications of photogrammetry tools covering: operations of GPS/DGPS, topographic maps and remote sensing images, aerial photography and geometry, digital elevation models, Ortho Photo generation and Ortho Mosaic, interpretation of images and factors.

The key takeaways from the program are:

Describe the principles and operation of GPS / DGPS
Analyze and interpret topographic maps
Explain the principles of aerial photography and their geometries, axes, scale of measurement
Interpret images and constructing digital elevation models
Demonstrate acquired knowledge and skills through case studies covering varied applications

Prerequisites:

College level Mathematics
School-level competency in English
Proficiency with Computers, office suites and database
Knowledge of fundamental concepts of GIS equivalent to the program 101-GS
